Summer Work Bees

Work bees for the 2011 season have ended. With the heavy rains earlier this year, the Pilgrim overflowed its banks and the high water moved a lot of logs and rocks from where they have rested for years. Some say that the river was the highest they had seen in 30 years. We rebuilt several of the rock cribs that the fast water toppled them over. Check back often for details and dates on future work bees.

This dedicated fund will support conservation easement expenses, land acquisitions, long-term site monitoring and resource stewardship. The project will conserve over 1,300 acres of watershed encompassing more than two miles of pristine Pilgrim River and secure public access forever.
