Huron Creek Clean-Up (MTU Chapter of the Society of Wetland Scientists)
The MTU Chapter of the Society of Wetland Scientists is sponsoring a litter clean-up day along Huron Creek on Saturday, April 26th. The scheduled time is 11 am to 2 pm (people can arrive any time during then).

The main clean-up area will be the re-routed portion of Huron Creek that runs along the north side of Wal-Mart. Myself and others from SWS will be in the north parking lot of Wal-Mart (first side parking lot when you drive in) to pass out garbage bags and gloves. Refreshments will also be provided. Monthly Fly Tying
Proposed every third Monday of the month (September – April) 7:00-9:00 pm at the SDC Hockey Educational Center at MTU. Contact Chris Ipson at cjipson@mtu.edu to confirm schedule.

Beginner Fly Fishing Day
Beginner Fly Fishing Day will be held on Saturday May 10 from 1-4 pm at the East Houghton Waterfront Park located just west of the Super 8 hotel. Summer Workbees
Habitat improvement projects and assistance of MTU / NMU research and MDNR stocking and inventory activities. (dates, times and locations will be updated as they come available).

KVCTU Michigan Youth Trout Camp
July 6 – 10th at the Ralph A. MacMullan Conference Center on Higgins Lake. CCCTU will sponsor up to two youths between the ages of 12 and 16 to attend camp. Sponsorship includes room and board. Coastal Cleanup Weekend
The chapter has for several years taken responsibility for 4,000 feet Lake Superior Shoreline at the mouth of the Gratiot River. Cleanup is held in mid-September, great opportunity for the entire family. Contact Bill Deephouse at troutkpr@up.net for more information.
